By stopping, before taking any action, and asking,
"Will this action enhance my intended state of being?"
You will always know the appropriateness of that possible action.
Abraham-Hick

Every day,
genuinely tell youself something you like, admire, or appreciate about yourself.
And you will begin to grow really good feelings about yourself.

It doesn’t matter how long the room has been dark, for a day, or a week, or a year, or for ten thousand years. The moment you bring in a candle; darkness vanishes like it was never there.
Similarly, it doesn’t matter for how long we are stuck in a sense of our limitations. The moment you decide to break free, nothing will stop you.

Each choice we make causes a ripple effect in our lives. When things happen to us, it is the reaction we choose that can create the difference between the sorrows of our past and the joy in our future.

"Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers,
For by this some have entertained angels without knowing it."
~Hebrews 13.2

When you create a small, healthy space between yourself and the drama of life, you've created a buffer.
This buffer will prevent you from jumping out and reacting negatively.
It will also stop the drama of life from grabbing you unawares.
This personal space within yourself will allow you to respond constructively.

"I can’t change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination."
Jimmy Dean
I was told the other day that if I see a flaw in another it is simply a flaw in my own perception and an opportunity for me to right a past wrong. All I have to do is take the time to recognize that person is perfectly fine. Then I will be free of what I was seeing and they will be free of what I thought I saw in them. So I thought, "I'll try it, what do I have to lose? Really, it can't hurt but it could help." What is really crazy...it seemed to work! Produced quite the amazing sense of freedom.  Paul Bardis
Society doesn’t get to tell me that I am not perfect for my Creator made me unique and flawed to his artistic vision of what/who I am to be – the me-est me that will ever be; a one of a kind masterpiece of glorious creation; unmatched in the whole of humanity?!

Who am I not to accept that amazing benevolent gift as it is given without trying to recreate it in my own version of “perfect”?  I am a love.

Between heaven and earth is a space like a bellows; empty and inexhaustible. The more it is used, the more it produces. Hold on to the center. We were made to sit quietly and find the truth within.

Worthiness
By Wynn Free

Worthiness, self worth,
I am an expert on these.
I wish I could say
I've mastered them,
But, more often,
They've mastered me
As my subconscious level of lack
Would cause
Outward situations to manifest
Which matched the inner.
The problem:
How does one learn to deserve more?
I contemplate the reasons
For my unworthiness,
And reflect on my oppressed childhood,
Misunderstood,
Rejected,
Rejecting myself.
I see how I shrank from life
Into safer places inside myself.
And now I'm trying to unshrink myself
And love you,
Because you are worthy
And to have you,
I must experience
In my heart of hearts,
That I deserve you.

Sometimes it's important to just sit back and let life sort things out.
May you listen to your longing to be free.
May the frames of your belonging be large enough for the dreams of your soul.
May you arise each day with a voice of blessing whispering in your heart, "Something good is going to happen to you!"
May you find harmony between your soul and your life.
May the mansion of your soul never become a haunted place.
May you know the eternal longing that lies at the heart of time.
May there be kindness in your gaze when you look within.
May you never place walls between the light and yourself.
May you be set free from the prisons of guilt, fear, disappointment and despair.
May you allow the wild beauty of the invisible world to gather you, mind you, and embrace you in belonging.

"As is the human body, so is the cosmic body.  As is the human mind, so is the cosmic mind.  As is the microcosm, so is the macrocosm.  As is the atom, so is the universe."  The Upanishads

Clay Balls
A man was exploring caves by the
Seashore. In one of the caves he found a canvas bag with a bunch of hardened clay balls. It was like someone had rolled clay balls and left them out in the sun to bake. They didn't look like much, but they intrigued the man, so he took the bag out of the cave with him. As he strolled along the beach, he would throw the clay balls one at a time out into the ocean as far as he could.

He thought little about it, until he dropped one of the clay balls and it cracked open on a rock. Inside was a beautiful, precious stone!

Excited, the man started breaking open the remaining clay balls. Each contained a similar treasure. He found thousands of dollars worth of jewels in the 20 or so clay balls he had left.

Then it struck him.  He had been on the beach a long time. He had thrown maybe 50 or 60 of the clay balls with their hidden treasure into the ocean waves. Instead of thousands of dollars in treasure, he could have taken home tens of thousands, but he had just thrown it away!

It's like that with people.. We look at someone, maybe even ourselves, and we see the external clay vessel. It doesn't look like much from the outside. It isn't always beautiful or sparkling, so we discount it.

We see that person as less important than someone more beautiful or stylish or well known or wealthy. But we have not taken the time to find the treasure hidden inside that person..

There is a treasure in each and every one of us. If we take the time to get to know that person, then the clay begins to peel away and the brilliant gem begins to shine forth.

May we not come to the end of our lives and find out that we have thrown away a fortune in friendships because the gems were hidden in bits of clay.

Emotions are organic and can be composted to enrich the soul soil... there is a world where trash doesnt have to exist.

Really important meetings are planned by the souls long before the bodies see each other.
Paulo Coelho
Buddha was once threatened with death by a bandit called Angulimal.

"Then be good enough to fulfill my dying wish," said Buddha. "Cut off the branch of that tree."

One slash of the sword, and it was done! "What now?" asked the bandit.

Put it back again," said Buddha.

The bandit laughed. "You must be crazy to think anyone can do that."

"On the contrary, it is you who are crazy to think that you are mighty because you can wound and destroy. That is the task of children. The mighty know how to create and heal." Buddha

"And you say "The reason that I believe this, is because it is true." And we say, the reason that you believe it, is because you've practiced the thought. All that a belief is, is a thought that you keep practicing."  Abraham-Hicks

You are given a vessel— this human body.

By the very fact that it exists, it will make a voyage and go where no one has been before.

You might think it will be similar to another person’s voyage.

No.

There are infinite little changes, variables that will make your voyage unlike anyone else’s.

How you perceive, how you understand is completely unique to you.
"Life is like a path...and we all have to walk the path...
As we walk... we'll find experiences like little scraps of paper in front of us along the way. We must pick up those pieces of scrap paper and put them in our pocket...
Then, one day, we will have enough scraps of papers to put together and see what they say... Read the information and take it to heart."   Uncle Frank Davis (quoting his mother) PAWNEE

If you could go forward from this day and when you hear yourself saying to someone else or someone says to you, "I want you to tell me the truth."  Look them squarely in the eyes and say:  "Which one?"

The truth of how it has been?
The truth of how it is being?
Or the truth of how it's becoming?

Because it's a variable there. I could tell you how hard it's been, in which case I will begin to mess up NOW and future. Or I can tell you how hard it IS, in which case I'll just hold myself here longer and longer.

Or I can tell you the TRUTH of what I desire.

The TRUTH of who I really am.

The truth of where I'm going.

The Truth of my dream...

Don't go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don't go back to sleep.

The door is round and open.
Don't go back to sleep.

The Core Energy Technique: How To Release Any Unwanted Thought, Feeling ...

The Huna Prayer for Lightworkers

"I'll tell you how the sun rose a ribbon at a time."
                                                      Emily Dickinson

"Your true home is in the here and the now. It is not limited by time, space, nationality, or race. Your true home is not an abstract idea. It is something you can touch and live in every moment. With mindfulness and concentration, the energies of the Buddha, you can find your true home in the full relaxation of your mind and body in the present moment. No one can take it away from you. Other people can occupy your country, they can even put you in prison, but they cannot take away your true home and your freedom.
                                                                            Thich Nhat Hanh

Out beyond ideas of wrong-doing and right-doing, there is a field.  I'll meet you there.  When the soul lies down in that grass, ideas, language, even the phrase "each other" doesn't make any sense.   ~Rumi

'Storm Comin' by The Wailin' Jennys

Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls; the most massive characters are seared with scars. Khalil Gibran

Emotional Set Points

I've been reading Ask and It is Given, Learning to Manifest Your Desires, by Esther & Jerry Hicks.  In this book they introduce the term 'emotional set points.'

However, when I read stuff (a technical psychological term) like this, I tend to experiment and see what works or what does not work.  I do not take things on blind faith.  I am a Virgo.

I like the term as it gives me a method of processing a few areas I want to shift in my own life.  I can only explain this term from my own perspective, which may not be the way it was meant in the book.  I would interpret this phrase as my 'favorite miserable feelings.'

As children, we do not have the psychological filters, or self defense mechanisms, to defend our subconscious minds, that we tend to develop through time as we mature. We often learn abandonment, insecurity, rejection, fear, helplessness and the self defense mechanisms to keep these feelings away from us.  Externally imposed factors can teach us how to resist.  We feel resistance because it does not resonate with our own inner truth.

We learn certain patterns or habits of responding to certain situations.  And then, we tend to repeat this 'focused thought' or as explained in the book, a set point is 'achieved simply by attention to a subject,' in other words, a 'practised thought.' And these patterns of thought forms can become unconscious through the passage of time and space.

I understand the idea of learning something new.  I know the first time I try something new, I will be incompetent with the new skill.  For example, learning to ride a bike...first I fell off, a few times.  I ended up with severe gravel burn.  It was very painful to get the gravel out, far more painful than the actual wiping out.  Then, in the learning process, I move to being more conscious, a bit more competent.  After more practise, then I can wobble down the hill without falling off, and actually stay on the bicycle.  In a while, after more practise, I can become consciously competent, and can ride long distances, and fly down mountain sides, and actually enjoy the fabulous speed.

I had to learn to pay attention to what I was doing.

Similarly, in life experiences, I can use this idea of an emotional set point to shift my consciousness.

If we do not clear these learnings we can find ourselves repeating these patterns in our adult lives, and feeling very stuck.  These favorite miserable feelings can profoundly affect our relationships, our financial affairs, our careers, our relationship with Mother Earth, as we tend to unconsciously seek ways to resolve these emotions through repetition of the pattern, often with others who are seeking the same relief.

And those who know me have heard me say, 'Its not our feelings or needs that can get us into trouble, its how we are going about getting them fullfilled that can get us into trouble.'

Our feelings, our inner emotional guidance system is sacred.  In traditional societies, children were sacred.  In some First Nations cultures, adults were not allowed to scare children.  It was said their Soul might flee.  We can reclaim our sacredness by re-parenting ourselves, through finding ways of honoring the sacredness within ourselves.

One way is to notice what we are feeling in a given moment, to identify 'where am I at?'  Is it a favorite miserable feeling?  Then to identify 'where do I want to be?'  Then choose a different level of thought forms or action that can begin to move us toward where we want to be functioning from.  This take practise, just like learning to walk, like learning to ride a bicycle.  Personally, I need to bring it right into my body, through walking or meditation.  I need to do some kind of action.

There are many techniques that can be used to clear, to heal ourselves.  Dream boards, collages, writing are a few methods to allow our visualization skills to grow and to explore How do I want to Be.  Body work can clear memories at a cellular level.  There are many kinds of support groups to do our talking work in.  Natural essences, fragrances and essential oils can also help in our healing.

Explore, find the format that works for your own Sacred Self.
Mixing Stars and Sand

I was mixing stars and sand
In front of him
But he couldn't understand
I was keeping the lightening of
The thunder in my purse
Just in front of him
But he couldn't understand
And I had been killed a thousand times
right at his feet
But he hadn't understood
